Make a Wearable Bucket Hat

In this 1-day workshop you will learn:
- To make a simple but durable, functional and water resistant bucket hat from papers;
- How to use eastern and western papers for textile accessory projects;
- Construction techniques and approaches that will make sure your accessory lasts and is fit for purpose;
- Embedding water resistance in paper textile accessories;
Suitable for both beginners and experienced participants. Participants should bring a basic sewing kit and any special papers they might like to include in their hat project. Sewing machines are optional, only if you would prefer to use a sewing machine over hand stitching. Specialist Eastern papers, products and materials for use on the day are included in the ticket fee. Additional specialist papers and materials will be available for purchase on the day.
Express Life Drawing

Get ready for rapid-fire drawing in our express pose Sunday sessions. Our models create fast poses to keep you on your toes! With poses held from anywhere between 30 seconds to a couple of minutes, these life drawing sessions are a real challenge for seasoned artists as well as beginners.
Enjoy two hours of life drawing in our beautiful light-filled studio with professional LMS models. With easels and tables available to use and paper to purchase, all you need to bring are your materials!
Please arrive at 10.20am to ensure a smooth start to the class, late arrivals disrupt the flow of this class.
FRIDAY MORNING Life Drawing
10:30am – 1pm. Short to longer poses. Untutored.

Enjoy two and a half hours of untutored life drawing in our beautiful light-filled studio with professional LMS models. With easels and tables available to use and paper to purchase, all you need to bring are your materials to draw poses ranging from quick to extended as the session progresses.
NB: As a courtesy to the model and other participants, and to limit disruptions, please arrive by 10.20 am to set up. Class begins promptly at 10.30 am. Anyone arriving late is required to wait for the next model break to enter the room. These occur every 20 minutes and the convenor will let you in.
Tutored Life Drawing with Patrick Loverso
Learn the basics of life drawing with our expert artist and tutor, Patrick Loverso, in this 9 week course, weekly on Saturdays, 3–5 pm. Gain skills in observing, drawing, and understanding the human figure. The course runs from August 3 to September 28 inclusive. This booking is for the entire course. Materials provided.
Tapestry Weaving
Fortnightly on a Saturday, 10am – 12pm
Learn tapestry weaving from our expert tutor, Hannah Rother-Gelder in a friendly, workshop-style environment. Tapestry weaving is a weft-based weaving where the warp is completely covered. The proposed image is marked on the weft as a guide using a cartoon (drawing) behind the warp as a further guide when weaving. Students will be guided through the process of this particular method of weaving.
Beginners welcome. All materials supplied.
5 inital classes are required in order to build your skills and knowledge of tapestry weaving. After these inital sessions you will become a member of the tapestry weaving club.

Long Pose Life Drawing

Draw a professional model in our beautiful light-filled studio with easels and tables provided. Bring your own materials or buy paper from us. The pose will be held for the entire session. This class is untutored and suitable for all levels.
Craft Club

Bring along any projects you are working on for this friendly and relaxed craft meet up.

Also, our classes run based on bookings. So that we can keep track of class numbers and maintain our model booking, cancellations or changes to your booking will only be accepted with one week’s notice. Cancellations made after this time will not be eligible for a refund or rebooking. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or rebooking.
