DETAILS OF PHCC HIRE
We often receive enquiries about hiring the Centre for classes or workshops – below is a summary of hire information.
Anyone hiring the classroom or studio at the Princes Hill Community Centre must hold public liability insurance. Hirers also need to be aware that the building is a 19th Century building and regrettably does not have disability access.
The classroom hire rate is $22 per hour and the minimum hire is 2 hours, therefore a cost of $44. The upstairs studio is $27 per hour, therefore $54 for 2 hours. The hire time must include the period required to set up and pack up for the activity or class being run. The minimum time that can be allowed for is 15 minutes either side of the activity.
The classroom features tables and chairs, a whiteboard and data projector may be available.
The studio has a wooden floor, windows on three sides and therefore has excellent natural light, with a full-length mirror on the other wall, a basic adjoining kitchen area for tea and coffee and easels and drawing boards.
There is also one-off non-refundable booking fee of $20 and a bond of $150. If a key is issued, there is a key bond of $50. These bonds are held until the hire agreement expires or event is completed. The amounts are refunded following an inspection of the facilities and the return of the key.
