Chip has designed, photographed, drawn and painted all his adult life. His main professional careers have been as an architect and an urban designer. In recent years, Chip has concentrated of his time on watercolours, particularly en plein aire while travelling to destinations of great natural or urban beauty.
While earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in drawing and photography in his twenties at the University of Texas, Chip taught life drawing, perspective drawing and architecture. He also taught drawing later at the University of California at Davis. Having been unexpectedly approached by Prince’s Hill Community Centre to teach watercolour, Chip has become quite keen to resume his passion to teach.
Chip is writing an introduction to his forthcoming watercolour course, which will be lodged on the Princes Hill website.
