Anzara Clark is a Melbourne-based artist who works primarily in textiles and paper and recyclables. She uses garment forms to explore individual and cultural identity, memory and critical human experiences. Offering a myriad of possibilities for visual expression, whether sculptural or wearable, the dimensional and tactile nature of garments invites a multi-sensory immersion in the narratives they embody.
Anzara enjoys challenging assumptions about materials and processes, constantly exploring new ways of manipulating paper, recyclable materials and textile processes to create works that surprise and invite viewers to question their perspectives of value and beauty. As an arts educator and facilitator, Anzara is passionate about supporting the creative journeys of others as they discover new ways of seeing and of expressing themselves through art.
